Guifi· net Foundation
Group ATTI has the support of the Guifi·net Foundation, a non-profit entity that, since 2008, promotes, drives, and coordinates the guifi·net project. A project that started in 2004 in the region of Osona and aims to provide internet access throughout the territory, especially in rural areas, areas where there is still no coverage or places where large telecommunications operators do not intend to reach or, if they do, charge an unaffordable price for citizens. How do we reach them? Through the Open, Free, and Neutral Mancomunada Network.
From the Guifi·net Foundation, we establish our own mechanisms to ensure a system of governance, participation, and regulation and sanction for all participants in the project, which serve to ensure the principles of the network.
