The guifi·net community meeting recovers face-to-face meetings after two online editions due to covid-19

SAX (Health, Love and Network) the guifi·net motto, but also the community meeting of people who have formed and are part of guifi·net now has a date and place for celebration: in Madrid, on November 4, 5 and 6, at Espai Ecooo.

The meeting, which has usually been held once a year, began with a first edition in 2005 in Vic (Catalonia), but has been moving around the territory as they have been organized in different areas thanks to the local communities and groups of guifi·net that have wanted to host the meeting. 

From the Guifi·net Foundation we are very excited to announce that, after these last two years of pandemic and virtual editions, the SAX recovers face-to-face meetings and, this year, it will be thanks to the collaboration of the local group Guifi·net Madrid, the Guifi·net Foundation and Espai Ecooo, the venue that will host the edition of this #SAX2022.

However, the meeting space does not want to be exclusively for the guifi·net community, but also wants to be a meeting point for and by people linked, passionate and interested in the field of telecommunications and technology who seek to make it accessible to everyone to improve their daily lives. It also aims to be a place where people and initiatives linked to social economy and that bet on new models of consumption and shared sovereignties can share experiences, operations, projects and future challenges. 

Although the poster with the full schedule is about to be released, from the Guifi·net Foundation we want to announce that this year, at #SAX, the most active collectives from the peninsula will have a special presence so that they can present their realities, ongoing projects, needs, obstacles and progress in their territory.

We are looking forward to meeting again, sharing, learning, getting to know and continuing to weave the network of this community that has been walking and connecting for over 18 years.
