On February 16, the guifi·net Foundation had the opportunity to participate in the seminar "Map of the Catalan innovation ecosystem" organized by the Entrepreneurship and Training Area of the Department of Business and Labor of the Government of Catalonia.
The meeting, which took place at the facilities of the Beta Technological Center of the University of Vic and at the Technological Integration Nursery (VIT) of Creacció de Vic, aimed to showcase various examples of innovation and best practices of companies and/or entities in the region. The selected ones were: Girbau Lab, Fundació Universitària del Bages (UManresa), Proquímia, and guifi·net.
The session, under the name of Mapathon, was moderated by Alfons Cornella (innovation consultant) and represented a space not only to showcase the experiences of the mentioned companies and entities, but also to share, discuss, and reflect, among other issues, on the need to improve metrics and have citizen spaces, to build better or new narratives, to change ways of working, or on how and in what way to bet on talent.

Mapathon is the name given to the different sessions that have been held in other Catalan territories chosen as areas with innovative projects. Apart from the Vic session, the Mapathon has also been held in Reus, Lleida, Palau d'Anglesola, Girona, and Salt, where 26 companies and entities from these territories have been presented.
The objective of promoting a Catalan entrepreneurial support ecosystem, encouraging synergies, and facilitating or exporting instruments that allow an improvement in the impact of ongoing initiatives has been positively and collectively achieved.
