Since last week, the local company, Temon, has been carrying out the deployment work of the fiber optic trunk of the Network GRETA that will connect Ascó and Flix. The network, which aims to provide broadband Internet access to the Garrigues, Ribera d'Ebre, and Terra Alta regions, is reaching Flix.
Monday, February 15 is the scheduled date to start the fiber optic extension in the urban center, scattered areas, and industrial estate, allowing the connection of the residents of the town of Flix through five local operators: Punt d'Accés, Ebrecom, SomConnexió, Som Internet, and Vola.cat.
Today, the #Enstoquenlafibra platform and the Guifi·net Foundation, promoters of the GRETA project, have accompanied the workers during the deployment in the area where the TV3 team from Terres de l'Ebre has also been present, interviewing the network promoters. In addition, a team is making a documentary about common networks and the Guifi·net Foundation.
