The guifi.net project can be known these days 13, 14 and 15 of November at the Smart City Expo World Congress held at Fira de Barcelona on the occasion of the space dedicated to shared and inclusive cities that the Barcelona City Council and the Digital Commons Research Group (DIMMONS) of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) have coordinated to show initiatives of the social and solidarity economy as sustainable growth projects that open a new front in innovation spaces in the 21st century.
The space will promote proposals based on the UN's 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and will include themes such as social inclusion, collaborative policies, the debate on gentrification and the right to housing in large cities, the circular economy, and other proposals that promote alternative models for social transformation.
